Today Awilo Longomba, a Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) artist and hit maker, is celebrating 26 years of existence in the global music industry since he officially started in 1995.
Awilo who is a Soukous music legend so far he has released more than 25 albums and has done a major collaboration in the world.
Using his Instagram account, AWILO LONGOMBA said;

Awilo longomba before becoming a musician, He was a drummer in the bands Viva la Musica, Stukas, Nouvelle Generation and Loketo. In 1995 he finally stopped dancing and decided to sing where he released his debut album called “Hot Cotton“,
His second album, “Coupe Bibamba” was released in 1998 which made him known throughout Africa, Europe and the Americas. It was followed by his 2001 album, “Kafou Kafou” and 2004, “Mondongo” and in 2008 Awilo released his album “Super Man” which is said to be the most successful album in his music.
However, he was able to win various awards including the Soukous Best Performer Award in 2009.
Awilo also is having some hit songs like Gate le Coin, Coupe Bibamba, Porokondo, Bibala and Caroline.
He landed in Tanzania on April 7, 2021 and collaborated with Harmonize on the song “Attitude” with Angel Marykato on a song called “Tanzania“.
