Elizabeth Michael (Historia Ya Lulu) Biography. Elizabeth Michael (Lulu) was born on April 16, 1995, and is widely known as a film actress from Tanzania. She was born at the Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

She enrolled in primary education at Remnant Academy, where she completed her primary education. Her biological mother is Lucrecia Kalugira, while her father is Michael Kimemeta.

Lulu attended Perfect Vision High School and St. Mary’s High School for her secondary education. Later, she enrolled at the Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC) to pursue a Diploma in Human Resources Management.

The career of acting began at the age of five in the year 2000. Later, she joined the Kaole Sanaa Group, an arts ensemble where she acted alongside Steven Kanumba, Vincent Kigosi, Mwanaidi Suka, and many others.

Elizabeth Michael has been featured in numerous TV dramas such as “Gharika,” “Taswira,” “Zizimo,” and many more, using the name Lulu, which has remained popular to this day.

Afterward, she started acting in films at a young age, with her first film being “Misukosuko” in which she collaborated with Jimmy Mponda.

In 2006, she starred in a movie called “Wema,” produced by Game 1st Quality, and later appeared in many other films such as “Family Tears,” “Ripple Of Tears,” “Passion,” “Dangerous Girl,” and many more.

So far, she has acted in more than thirty films. She also had the opportunity to perform in a radio play called “Wahapahapa,” using the name Mainda. The play was produced by Media For Development International in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and the Johns Hopkins University Center For Communication Programs in the United States. The play was directed by an American, Mr. Jordan Riber, who works on projects in Africa.

Lulu had the opportunity to act in two music videos, Lady Jay Dee, “Shamba” and “Changanya” from “Enika.” The Wahapahapa project aimed to educate the community about proper child upbringing during the growth period.

In August 2013, Lulu launched her movie titled “Foolish Age,” which was her first film that she directed herself. It was launched at the Mlimani City Hall in Dar Es Salaam and was attended by hundreds of people.

In 2015, she launched his second film as a producer titled “Mapenzi ya Mungu.” The film was showcased at the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), and in 2016, it won the Best East African Film at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards held in Lagos, Nigeria.

Lulu used to be a television presenter on a show called “Watoto Wetu,” which was aired on ITV Tanzania when she was quite young, approximately between 2004 and 2007, Also in the years 2014 and 2015, she was a host for the talent search competition for acting in Tanzania called ‘Tanzania Movie Talents.

For now, Lulu is deeply in love with the CEO of EFM TV and Radio, Mr. Majizo. They are currently married having one children.
