The Miss Tanzania beauty pageant, one of the most prestigious pageants in Tanzania, launched its 2024 season on November 27, 2023, in Dar es Salaam. The launch was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel and was attended by pageant organizers, sponsors, and media representatives.
The 2024 pageant will be themed “Beauty with a Purpose,” and contestants will be judged on their beauty, intelligence, and commitment to social responsibility. The winner of the pageant will represent Tanzania at the Miss World 2024 pageant.
The launch event was hosted by Basilla Mwanukuzi, the founder and CEO of Miss Tanzania Organization. Mwanukuzi said that the pageant is committed to promoting Tanzanian culture and values.
“We are looking for young women who are beautiful, intelligent, and passionate about making a difference in the world,” said Mwanukuzi. “The Miss Tanzania pageant is a platform for these women to use their voices to make a positive impact on society.”
The 2024 Miss Tanzania pageant will begin with a series of preliminary competitions in each of Tanzania’s 31 regions. The top 30 contestants will then compete in the national finals, which will be held in Dar es Salaam in July 2024.
