The Tanzania Premier League is one of the top and most followed African league. The league is mainly sponsored by National Bank Of Commerce (NBC), it features some of the best football teams in the country.
The NBC Premier League is organized by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) and consists of 16 teams that compete in a regular season, followed by playoffs to determine the league champion. The league is played annually.
Some of the top teams in the NBC Premier League include Yanga Sc, Simba Sc, Azam Fc, Singida Big Stars, Dodoma Jiji Fc and many more.
The league has also produced some notable players who have gone on to play professionally both domestically and internationally, E.g Mbwana Samatta.
The Premier League Board is responsible for the organization and management of this league, and they do it in conjunction with the Tanzania Football Federation.
