Yanga Continues to Lead NBC Premier League After Narrow Win Over Mashujaa FC

Dar es Salaam, TanzaniaYoung Africans Sports Club (Yanga) maintained their lead at the top of the NBC Premier League table after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Mashujaa FC on Thursday at the Azam Complex Chamazi.

The Jangwani giants opened the scoring through Maxi Nzengeli in the 44th minute, but Mashujaa equalized in the 55th minute through Emanuel Mtumbuka. However, Yanga responded quickly and grabbed the winner in the 85th minute courtesy of Mudathir Yahya.

The victory sees Yanga extend their lead at the top of the table to six points, with 37 points from 15 games. Azam FC are in second place with 31 points, followed by Simba SC with 29 points.
