Yanga Crushes Polisi Tanzania 5-0, Joseph Guede Stars with Two Goals

Young Africans’ new signing, Joseph Guede, has finally opened his goal-scoring account with the team, netting two impressive goals in a 5-0 victory against Polisi Tanzania. The match, part of the Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC), took place on February 20, 2024, at the Azam Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Guede, who joined Yanga during the recent transfer window, struck first in the 13th minute and added his second just before halftime (45+1). The rout was far from over, with Farid Mussa adding a goal in the 33rd minute, Clement Mzize pushing the lead to 4-0 in the 82nd minute, and Shekhan Ibrahim sealing the dominant win with a penalty kick in the 87th.

This victory propels Yanga into the quarterfinals of the ASFC, where they’ll face off against Mtibwa Sugar.
