Yanga Sc maintain lead at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over KMC

Morogoro, TanzaniaYoung Africans continued their impressive form in the Tanzanian Premier League (TPL) with a 3-0 win over KMC at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro on Saturday.

Mudathir Yahya scored a brace in the 1st and 54th minutes, while Pacome Zouzoua added the third goal to seal the victory for Young Africans.

The win takes Young Africans to 43 points after 16 games, with 14 wins, one draw, and one loss. They have scored 39 goals and conceded 8.

KMC remain in fifth place with 22 points after 16 games, with 5 wins, 7 draws, and 4 losses. They have scored 15 goals and conceded 24.

Young Africans dominate from the start

Young Africans started the game on the front foot and took the lead in the first minute through Mudathir Yahya. The forward latched onto a pass from Fiston Mayele and slotted the ball past KMC goalkeeper Juma Kaseja.

Young Africans continued to dominate possession and created several chances to extend their lead. However, they were unable to find the back of the net until the 54th minute when Yahya scored his second goal of the game.

The goal was a carbon copy of his first, as he again received a pass from Mayele and beat Kaseja with a low shot.

Zouzoua adds the third

Pacome Zouzoua put the icing on the cake for Young Africans in the 80th minute when he scored the third goal of the game.

The forward latched onto a pass from Khalid Aucho and fired a shot into the bottom corner of the net.

The win consolidates Young Africans’ position at the top of the table

The win consolidates Young Africans’ position at the top of the table. They are now seven points clear of second-placed Simba, who have a game in hand.

Young Africans will be looking to continue their good form when they face Mtibwa Sugar in their next game.

KMC need to improve their form

KMC, on the other hand, need to improve their form if they are to challenge for the title. They have lost their last two games and have conceded seven goals in the process.

KMC will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they face Dodoma City in their next game.
