Fireboy DML Makes Us Swoon with Passionate New Single “Everyday”

Nigerian heartthrob Fireboy DML is back with a brand new song, “Everyday,” and it’s a guaranteed hit for anyone who’s ever been head over heels.

The song opens with a catchy beat and Fireboy’s signature smooth vocals asking his girl “where you dey” (where are you). He declares his constant longing, promising to meet her “Lati Saturday” (next Saturday) because he misses her “everyday.”

The chorus is where things get interesting. Fireboy admits his actions might seem “too much,” but his love is undeniable. He sings about his past (“Jessica, Jennifer, Familiasho”) but assures her it’s over now (“Auzubillah, no more fornication”). Duro “na” baby ma so” translates to “stay with me baby” and it’s clear Fireboy only wants her: “I say na you, only you I wan dey sanction” (It’s you, only you I want to approve).

Fireboy throws in some playful Yoruba to further charm his love interest. He calls her “Omo yapa for my catalogue” (a hot girl for my collection) but emphasizes “Na only you wey I want for my mansion oh” (It’s only you I want for my mansion).

The song continues with Fireboy showering his love with compliments on her body and personality. He begs her to “follow me go,” be his source of energy, and assures her his love is everlasting (“I never love you finish oh”). The final verse finds him pleading for her not to leave, promising a trip to Ibiza and even a ring if she lets the love “linger.”

Everyday” is a perfect blend of sweet devotion and playful sensuality. It’s sure to become a fan favorite and solidify Fireboy DML’s place as one of Afrobeats’ leading men.
