President Samia Suluhu Hassan revealed that Mzee Mwinyi had been receiving medical attention since November 2023, initially in London, United Kingdom, and later in Tanzania at Mzena Hospital. The battle against lung cancer proved challenging, leading to his unfortunate demise.
