John Cena Plans to Retire From WWE Before Turning 50

16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has revealed that he plans to retire from the company before he turns 50 years old.

Cena, who is currently 46 years old, spoke to ET about his future in wrestling and said that he can see himself retiring within the next three years.

Cena on his retirement plans:

“I can see myself [retiring in the next three years],” Cena said. “I’m 46 years old. I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I’ve been very fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunities that I’ve had. But I also know that there’s an expiration date on this, and I want to make sure that I’m not out there just existing. I want to make sure that I’m out there thriving.”

Cena on wanting to retire on his own terms:

Cena also said that he wants to retire on his own terms and not be forced out of the business due to injury or declining performance.

“I want to be able to walk away when I want to walk away,” Cena said. “I don’t want to be forced out. I don’t want to be the guy that’s hobbling around out there. I want to be able to walk away with my head held high and say, ‘I did it my way.'”

Cena’s history with WWE:

Cena has been a mainstay in WWE for over 20 years. He is a 16-time world champion and has won numerous other accolades, including the WWE Championship, the United States Championship, and the Tag Team Championship.

Cena is also a successful actor and has starred in several movies, including “Bumblebee,” “The Suicide Squad,” and “F9.”

Cena’s future:

It remains to be seen when Cena will officially retire from WWE. However, it is clear that he is already thinking about the future and what he wants to do next.

Cena has said that he is interested in pursuing a career in Hollywood and he has also expressed interest in becoming a WWE commentator.

Whatever Cena decides to do next, there is no doubt that he will be successful. He is a one-of-a-kind talent and he has achieved great things in WWE.
