Kiambu politician Gladys Chania Arrested Over Murder Of Her Husband And George Mwangi
Kiambu politician Gladys Chania was arrested over the death of her husband George Mwangi.
The husband of a local politician from Mount Kenya was found dead in one of the forests in Kieni. His death elicited mixed reactions with the public demanding that an investigation be launched into the unfortunate murder of Mr. Chania.
The latest report indicates that the wife who was a former aspirant for the Jubilee party for the Kiambu woman representative seats madam Chania has been arrested.
Police now say that the vocal politician is the main suspect in the murder of the husband who according to the police had some misunderstandings with the wife before he disappeared and later on his body was found dumped in the forest badly mutilated.
The police have refuted earlier claims that they said the woman had disappeared immediately after it was reported that the body of the husband was recovered from the thicket. Investigations into the murder are still ongoing.
