Rachel went to Likuyani Primary School, Kakamega County. She continued to Butere Girls High School for her O and A levels.

From Butere High, she got a chance to join Kenyatta University for a Bachelor’s of Education Degree. The humble prayer warrior went on to earn her Master of Arts in 2011 at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

Family

The Kenyatta University graduate is married to Dr. William Ruto and they are blessed with six children.

Ruto’s wife Rachel Chebet is of the Kalenjin tribe, born and raised in Likuyani, Kakamega County. However, there are controversies around Rachel’s Luhya ancestry, middle name Chebet, and fluent Kalenjin accent.
