After reports that South African striker Ranga Chivaviro was on the verge of joining Young Africans on loan from Kaizer Chiefs, Herve Tra Bi, Chivaviro’s agent, has said: “Ranga is not going anywhere at the moment. He has a two-year contract with Kaizer Chiefs. We have to respect his contract with Chiefs.”
@farpostza have reported that there have been no loan talks between the two clubs. And in any case, Amakhosi will not be able to hold any talks about their striker before the January transfer window. Where Chivaviro will remain with the Soweto giants.
The reports come after Yanga were reportedly keen to sign Chivaviro (31) after his impressive season at Marumo Gallants.
Chivaviro signed for Kaizer Chiefs in August 2022, and his contract runs until June 2024. He has made 11 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
Yanga are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2023/24 season. They have already signed former Orlando Pirates striker Bernard Morrison, and they are also interested in signing Chivaviro.
It looks like Chivaviro will remain at Kaizer Chiefs for the rest of the season. However, Yanga will likely continue to pursue him in January.
