Yanga SC to Build New Stadium at Jangwani With GSM Funding!

Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga SC) has announced plans to build a new stadium at Jangwani, the club’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam. The stadium will be funded by club patron Ghalib Said Mohammed (GSM).

The announcement was made by Yanga SC chairman Eng. Hersi Said during the club’s 89th anniversary celebrations.

“After lengthy discussions with our sponsor and patron, Ghalib Said Mohammed (GSM), I am pleased to inform members and fans of our club that today, GSM has graciously agreed to participate in the construction of a modern stadium for Young Africans Sports Club, at the club’s headquarters, Jangwani, in Dar es Salaam,” said Eng. Said.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank GSM very much for his commitment to fulfilling the dream of my leadership, the executive committee, and members and fans of Young Africans to have our own stadium.”

The new stadium will have a capacity of 60,000 spectators and will be equipped with modern facilities, including a playing pitch, floodlights, and a grandstand.

The construction of the stadium is expected to start in 2024 and be completed in 2026.
